Hwy. 50 to Close May 11

Cal Trans has sent out a press release today announcing the closing of Hwy. 50 for 2 weeks starting May 11. The closure is part of the first stage of a safety enhancement project that will remove damaged rock walls and replace them with a new barrier. There will be one-way controlled traffic on May 9 and 10 and after the 14 day closure controlled one-way traffic will be in place for 6 weeks Monday through Friday. The Hwy. will be opened with  no restrictions on for the each weekend after the 14 day closure each Friday at noon and Monday of Memorial weekend.
