Lower Priced South Lake Tahoe Homes Selling Quickly

The bargain hunters have jumped off the fence and are buying up the lower priced homes in South Lake Tahoe. I’ve seen a flurry of homes in the high 200’s and low 300’s go pending this past month. Most of these homes are the bank owned and short sales but not all. If you have been waiting for the bottom of the market to invest in a vacation home in South Lake Tahoe you are running out of time. Not just the lower priced homes are starting to get absorbed but well priced homes in all price ranges are starting to get purchased. We are seeing the larger newer homes that that have stagnated during the down cycle get gobbled up when price reductions reach the $225.00 per sq. ft. range. That seems to be the magic number if you want to sell your home quickly.
